Although the attendees are mainly from Salem UMC, anyone is welcome. Our goal is to get to know each other and support one another. Prayer in the Park (Wed.)

Prayer in the Park is a prayer team that meets in the Havana Community Park’s gazebo (203 5th Ave E, Havana, FL 32333, the park is located behind the Library) Wednesdays at 11:00am. This group of prayer warriors takes time at the beginning to share what’s going on in each other’s lives and how they can prayerfully be in support of each other. Then all are welcome to pray going around the group (aloud or silently) over family, community, country, church, school, job, personal needs and more. As with all our Fresh Expressions, weather you’re just passing by, attend a church somewhere or join in every week, all are welcome into this sacred space.

Moses Baskets (1st & 3rd Tue.)

Moses Baskets is a group that meets the first and third Tuesday morning at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Laundry baskets are transformed through quilting and crafting to provide a special bassinet for needy newborns. UMW: United Methodist Women (2nd Mon.)

The UMW is a faith-based membership organization of laywomen within The United Methodist Church. We are organized for mission, and our members are committed to growing as disciples of Jesus Christ. United Methodist Women has been in mission for more than 140 years. We provide opportunities and resources to grow spiritually, become more deeply rooted in Christ and put faith into action in our community with other women, building the lives of women, children and youth. We equip women and girls around the world to be leaders in communities, agencies, workplaces, governments and churches. We work for justice through compassionate services and advocacy to change unfair polices and systems, and provide education experiences that lead to personal change in order to transform the world. Salem United Methodist Women meet on the second Monday of each month at 5:45 pm in the Fellowship Hall for dinner, fellowship & to discuss business.
